Easter Sunday: Scoppio del Carro ( explosion of the cart). An ancient traditions in which three white oxen draw a cart laden with flowers and fireworks to the Duomo, where at midday mass a mechanical dove linked to the cart detonates the explosion from the altar. This celebration has pagan roots and some still belive that if the dove successfully detonates the fireworks display, there will be a good harvet that coming year.
